The pictures below show an interesting tool a friend recently found in CA (2011.10). It is made by Raytheon Systems and tests / checks the functions of Mange Charge LPI and SPI paddle chargers. We believe that the SPI tests only cover RF communications as the tool was built before SPI units [IR comm. ] were developed.

Magne Charge - Tools '96 -'97 (v2)
This system runs 13 tests on the Magne Charge paddle chargers. The initial 12 tests complete in approximately 2 minutes, and then it runs a full-charge test for 10 minutes, or longer if the operator so requests.
